BaCE SpeakEasy and BaCE SpeakEasy Pro are designed with your privacy as a foundational principle. We believe your documents are your business and no one else’s.
Nothing. BaCE SpeakEasy and BaCE SpeakEasy Pro do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information whatsoever.
BaCE SpeakEasy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your documents stay on your Mac. We have no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no usage tracking of any kind.
BaCE SpeakEasy works entirely offline. The app never connects to the internet. Your documents are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server, service, or third party.
All text-to-speech conversion happens entirely on your Mac. BaCE SpeakEasy Pro uses an advanced, on-device neural voice engine that runs locally — no cloud processing, no API calls, no data leaves your device.
BaCE SpeakEasy saves your preferences (voice selection, speed, pitch, equalizer settings, output format) locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.
BaCE SpeakEasy only accesses files you explicitly choose to open or convert. The app uses Apple’s App Sandbox and the user-selected file entitlement, which means it can only read documents you specifically provide via drag-and-drop or the file browser. We never browse, scan, or access other files on your computer.
BaCE SpeakEasy Pro includes a locally hosted artificial intelligence model for natural-sounding text-to-speech. This model is bundled with the app and runs entirely on your Mac’s hardware. No text or audio is sent to any external service. The AI generates speech audio from text you provide — it does not generate, modify, or analyze text content.
BaCE SpeakEasy does not integrate with, connect to, or share data with any third-party services, advertising networks, analytics platforms, or cloud providers. There are no third-party SDKs embedded in the app.
BaCE SpeakEasy does not collect any information from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages.
BaCE SpeakEasy maintains a local diagnostic log on your device for troubleshooting purposes. This log records only technical metadata (processing stages, timing, error codes) and never captures the content of your documents. The log is shared with our support team only when you explicitly choose to email it via the “Email Support” button.
Because BaCE SpeakEasy and BaCE SpeakEasy Pro collect no personal information, we retain no personal information, and there is nothing held by us to access, correct, or delete. Everything the apps create lives on your Mac, under your control: your preferences (stored in macOS UserDefaults), your custom pronunciation dictionary, the audio files you produce, and the local diagnostic log. Deleting the app and its container removes its stored data; the diagnostic log and pronunciation dictionary can also be deleted at any time without removing the app.
If you have voluntarily emailed a diagnostic log to our support address and would later like that email and its attachment deleted, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
Consistent with this policy, the App Store privacy label for both BaCE SpeakEasy and BaCE SpeakEasy Pro is “Data Not Collected.”
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on our website with a new effective date. Given that BaCE SpeakEasy collects no data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
