SpeakEasy Player for iOS — Bill and Carol Enterprises LLC
Last updated: May 27, 2026
The Short Version
SpeakEasy Player does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Period. Your media stays on your device. We have no servers, no analytics, no accounts, and no way to see what you’re listening to.
We collect nothing. SpeakEasy Player does not gather any personal information, usage data, analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, or any other data of any kind.
SpeakEasy Player uses no analytics frameworks, ad networks, or tracking services. The app includes an optional metadata feature that, when manually activated by you, sends audio analysis data and search queries to Apple, Wikidata, and MusicBrainz services. No personal information is transmitted. This feature may continue to run in the background until the metadata enrichment process is complete.
SpeakEasy Player stores your media files, playback positions, bookmarks, speed preferences, and settings entirely on your device using standard iOS storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to Bill and Carol Enterprises LLC or any third party.
Because SpeakEasy Player collects no data whatsoever, it is safe for users of all ages. There is no age restriction and no data collection from children or anyone else.
SpeakEasy Player may be used through Apple CarPlay on supported vehicles.
When using CarPlay, playback information such as track titles, album artwork, audiobook chapters, and playback controls may be displayed through your vehicle’s infotainment system.
SpeakEasy Player does not collect vehicle telemetry, driving data, location history, or automotive diagnostics.
Some vehicle systems may independently retain recent device connections, media history, or system logs according to the vehicle manufacturer’s own policies. SpeakEasy Player does not control or access that information.
SpeakEasy Player can be controlled by Apple’s system voice features such as Siri media commands — for example, “Hey Siri, play,” “Hey Siri, pause,” and “Hey Siri, skip to the next track” — particularly while using Apple CarPlay.
Voice recognition and speech processing are performed entirely by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policies and system settings. SpeakEasy Player does not receive any voice recordings.
Voice commands stay private. Using Siri to control playback does not transmit your local library contents to Apple or any third party.
If we ever change this privacy policy, the updated version will be included in the app and reflected in our App Store listing. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate changes.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, you can reach us at support.bacellc@icloud.com.
